“We want to think the “welcome home“ program and all of the volunteers who work tirelessly to help our service men and women. We are especially thankful that Jimmy Butler contacted us to ask if we would like a gold star ornament made in honor of our son, Kevin. We are excited to hang our sun star on a tree this year and it will hold a very special place on our tree for years to come. The support we have gotten since we became a “Goldstar“ family has been incredible. My daughter has been able to find his star and who “took him home“ to put on their trees every year since we lost him. We have been able to connect with some of them through emails. Thank you again For your compassion and dedication to help us keep our son’s memory alive!”

“To welcome home Inc. This month I have received two beautiful things from welcome home, Inc. The first was a personalized gold star ornament with my late husband’s name on it. The second item was a handmade butterfly blanket that has a special meaning behind it. This was beautifully made by welcome home ink. I cannot think welcome home enough for sending me the beautiful ornament and blanket I truly appreciate everything you all have done for Goldstar families and will continue to do. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!"

“Within and hour or so I was meeting with a representative from Welcome Home, Inc. getting my story first hand and asking how they could help. Welcome Home, Inc. had a check to me all within a very short period of time so I could get across the state and attend the funeral of my deceased mother-in-law and be with my fiancé and her family. Asking nothing in return for the money they gave me, I would not have been able to have been with our family without the help from Welcome Home, Inc.”

"In 2012, I lost my father suddenly. His wishes were always to have half of his ashes with me and the other half to be with his mother in Texas. I live in Montana and while I always wanted to honor his wishes, the financial aspect of taking him home has always been a challenge. Welcome home was there to help. Welcome home was able to help me return my father to his home state. Thanks to the help from welcome home, not only was I able to fly my father‘s ashes home, they provided vehicle transportation as well. The trip was able to give me closure that I desperately needed, not only for myself, but for my family as well. In addition to providing the much needed and appreciated the help to me, I was able to take my two children with me. I have not been home in 13 years. My family had met my daughter when she was one year old and had never met my son. My daughter is turning 15 and my son just turned 12. My family meeting my children was a major concern for me. Thanks to welcome home, my family now knows my children. This trip gave me much needed closure with my father and helped me revive relationships with my family. Both aspects have been incredibly trying on me for many years. Without the assistance from welcome home, I would not have been able to accomplish the piece I have now. Thank you welcome home for continuing to honor, help, and be there for our vets in need!"

With great enthusiasm and high appreciation I highly recommend Welcome Home, Inc, Mortgage Management Services and Bill Butler. Recently, I closed my VA home purchase with Bill Butler through my association with Welcome Home, Inc., a non-profit veteran charity.
As initially represented by Bill, my loan was less expensive than any other lender and I received an unbelievable 30-year mortgage at 3.0% fixed! Bill did not charge me one penny for origination and 100% of the income and profit yield that was to be given to Mortgage Management Services and Bill was used to buy down my interest rate and costs! My VA purchase loan closed with me getting back my $1,000 earnest money deposit and ALL of my closing costs ($5,700.00) were paid for on my behalf.
If you are a veteran, or have a family member that is a Veteran, or have a friend that is a Veteran, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Bill, Mortgage Management Services and Welcome Home, Inc. for your next refinance or purchase loan. He will beat any other lender by a large margin in rate and much lower costs!

As a veteran and special education teacher, UC students come to with exceptional abilities. These students face challenges that most people take for granted. What most people see as writing their name being a simple task, sometimes these students struggle with the task. In addition to academic challenges, these individuals face obstacles in life skills. And addition to teaching the concepts of math, reading and writing, I take on the additional task of teaching life skills to students the skills include washing clothes, cleaning, personal hygiene, cooking, and washing dishes. Throughout the school year the students have the opportunity to participate in FACS (Family and Consumer Sciences) Classes, however these classes are offered for a limited time and do not cover many of the individualized aspects of learning that my students need. Over the years, I have seen students show great excitement at learning these skills.
However, it has been difficult to do to limited financial resources. Often times I have brought supplies in from my own home to help teach the students how to cook a variety of simple dishes. That was true until Welcome Home Inc. came along. As a veteran, I applied to welcome home for a grants and my request was approved the classroom kitchen is now complete and up to date!
Just in the first day of cooking with our new equipment, students who previously showed fear at the tasks involved in cooking or volunteering and asking to do more in the kitchen! With the help Welcome Home Inc. has provided, my students are now overcoming the fear is, obstacles, and knocking down boundaries that previously kept them from succeeding!
Thank you Welcome Home Inc. for helping to enhance the education and independence of so many students of today in the future!! Because of the financial help received from Welcome Home Inc. THE FUTURE IS A LITTLE BRIGHTER FOR SO MANY!

"I am a disabled veteran. In July we saw a notice in our local paper for Welcome Home, Inc. with Burt Price's phone number as a contact. We contacted him with questions about the veteran's disability claim process. He was extremely helpful: he was able to get me connected with a local dentist to do some badly needed dental work, pro bono. He also was very informative with details of recent changes to Veteran's disability applications. He assisted us in getting a claim filed as an addition to our original claim.
He must have had some kind of magic: within a week our review appointment was set, and we got the decision of an increased percentage from the Veterans Administration within two weeks after that appointment! As we are retired with a fixed income, this additional income will literally change our life. Thank you, Burt, and thank you Welcome Home, Inc!"

I'm writing to express immense gratitude to Mr. Burt Price with Welcome Home, Inc., on behalf of my husband, J. Cook, and myself, D. Cook. Jim served in Vietnam for 15 months. Shortly after he was out of hte Army, Jim was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis and he was displaying full symptoms of Agent Orange. In 1999 he filed for medical benefits with the VA Clinic in Missoula 2001 after he was diagnosed with Diabetes Type II and he received a rating of 20% disability.
After several hospital stays and other medical issues we consulted with a VSO in Missoula to try again and get additional help from the VA. I was told explicitly that there was no record of his having PTSD, there could be no proof of his Agent Orange exposure, and that the chances were very slim that he would qualify for an increased disability rating. We left the meeting discouraged.
I made lots of calls, spoke to the American Legion, my senator's office, all while caring for Jim, still in rehab, still falling frequently, and still enraged at the things he could not do. I asked our daughter to see if she could help me get the disability forms and she tried for nearly 6 months and then was told that they had been "improperly submitted". We almost gave up.
That's when we met Burt Price at Welcome Home, Inc, in Polson. A friend had given me his card and when I called him he assured me that he would do all in his power to help me, and that he was confident we could get it done. Burt is a disabled Vet and has personal experience with the process of forms, exams, and meetings. Moreover, he backed up his promise to advocate with and for us, even by actually driving us up to Kalispell to the VSO meeting that he had set up for us. Burt encouraged me, taught me, scolded me and pushed me through the application and evidence gathering and submission process and he rejoiced with me when we just received Jim's 100% disability rating!! AFTER FIVE (5) MONTHS of Burt working with me.
I truly believe that I may have just given up hope had it not been for Burt Price, a gentleman who is wholeheartedly devoted to assisting Veterans and their wives. I highly recommend Burt and Welcome Home, Inc. to any veteran needing help.
